IAC produces independent films with subject matter related to issues arising in the South Asian diaspora population in the U.S. Issues range from interfaith marriages and challenges of economic migration to a disconnected youth of South Asian heritage, born and raised in the U.S. Indus Arts Council encourages writers and actors from various ethnic backgrounds to participate in such rhetorical productions to find connection in their own heritage, while creating a cross-cultural exchange to promote diversity in thought and understanding.
